Brandon’s 2016 CCRPI Score
Dear Morris Brandon Parents and Caregivers,
The Georgia Department of Education today released the latest College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) results for our school as well for all of Atlanta Public Schools. CCRPI is the statewide education accountability system that measures schools and districts on a 100-point scale based on a combination of performance on the state’s Georgia Milestones assessments, progress and achievement gap. It helps parents and the public understand how schools are performing compared to others in the district and state.
According to the state report, our school scored a 97.
For previous CCRPI reports, we scored 93.5 in 2015 and 92 in 2014.
We are proud of your children and strive every day to give them the instruction and guidance they need to achieve and have choice-filled lives. We will continue to work so these scores and other measurements continue to meet our expectations for all of our students and community.
When I joined the Brandon community in the 2014-2015 school year, I promised to work to ensure that Brandon was not only a great school but an “intentionally exemplary” one. Every piece of work, we have embarked on over the past 2.5 years has been with this vision in mind. I am very proud of the work of our entire school staff and student body as well as our partnership and collaboration with our parents and community, all of which have resulted in these great gains. Our new CCRPI score of a 97 represents the commitment of all of our stakeholders to realize the great potential of each of the children in our care. While we are extremely proud this most current validation of our hard work, this work now must continue to ensure that we continue to grow, improve and never become complacent!
I am available to discuss these scores and other matters of importance to you, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you should have any questions.
