- Drop Off: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM (students are marked tardy after 8:00)
- Pick Up: 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM
We need all parents to download the PikMyKid app. It’s more than just carpool: PikMyKid will allow you to declare when you are here for carpool, change transportation, send updates about critical bus changes and even contact your teacher. We will start using the PikMyKid app for dismissal on Tuesday, February 16. Be sure to read through everything and register! You will be assigned a new carpool number via PikMyKid.
Keep in mind that Friday, February 12 is the last day to drop off as late as 8:15 AM. Beginning Tuesday, February 15, all students arriving after 8:00 AM will be marked tardy. In order to make this happen, it’s critical that our students (mostly PC) are fully ready, mask on, and everything in hand when your car pulls around. We want all parents to stay in their cars, drop off and be on your way quickly! Need to ride a shuttle bus to the other building? Busses 560 and 574 will bring students from one campus to the other each morning and afternoon.
Here Comes the Bus is a bus-tracking app, which will enable parents to view real-time location of their child’s school bus on a website via a computer, tablet or smartphone.
- Will let you know when the bus is within a one mile radius of your stop
- Will let you know when the bus has arrived or left the school
- Download the Here Comes the Bus app or visit www.herecomesthebus.com
- Click the “Sign Up” button
- Enter school code 87794 and click “Next,” followed by “Confirm”
- Under “My Students,” click “Add.” Enter your child’s last name and student ID number.
- Once you confirm your information, you’re ready to begin.
Students attending face-to-face learning will bring home important documents prepared by APS for consent to do COVID-19 Surveillance Testing. If you choose to opt-in, consent and privacy forms are to be returned to your homeroom teachers at any time during this school year.
Morris Brandon is the first school in the state to have surveillance testing! Read more about surveillance testing HERE.
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is continuing its effort to keep everyone in our schools and buildings safe by making COVID-19 Surveillance Testing available to all students and staff. COVID-19 Surveillance Testing is a non-diagnostic test that detects the presence of COVID-19 even in individuals who may be asymptomatic. The benefits of surveillance testing include early detection of positive individuals to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and buildings, as well as, rapid results and notifications for impacted individuals within 24 hours of testing. This allows for parents and staff to make informed decisions regarding healthcare and taking the needed precautions prior to coming to school or work.
We are excited to begin welcoming students back for Face-to-Face learning on January 25 and February 8.
At this time, we are not conducting in-person tours of Morris Brandon. We encourage all prospective parents and students to watch our School Tour Video from last fall, which also showcases our students’ commitment to International Baccalaureate principles.
Mr. Bland also hosted a Virtual Prospective Parent/Rising Kindergarten Meeting. You can view that meeting in its entirety here:

We are looking ahead to planning and budgeting for next school year. We need your help to make sure that we plan appropriately for any influx of students we may have for the 2021-22 school year. If you or someone you know was enrolled at MBES and ended up attending elsewhere, please fill out THIS survey to tell us of your intent for next year.
