See you in 2022!

Greetings Parents and Community Members!

It’s been a great couple of weeks since my last message! I’ve loved seeing our students participate in dress up days for Inclusive Schools Week and our Holiday Cheer Countdown. Last week I hosted a Principal Coffee Talk event (passcode: 1VcF4ER+), which allowed me to update our community on MAP testing, parent conferences, COVID updates, and what’s to come next quarter. We also had an awesome 1920s day in 5th grade, our school tours continue to be packed with incoming families eager to see the great things that are happening at our neighborhood school, and I celebrated my 40th birthday in style; thanks for all of the birthday shout outs!

Congratulations to 1st grade DLI teacher Ms. Chu! Last week, the Atlanta Hawks recognized her as a Teacher of the Year for her “exemplary contributions of service throughout an unprecedented school year.” We are so grateful for Ms. Chu and all of our amazing teachers! As 2021 winds down, I want to thank you for your continued support and engagement. We would not be the school we are today without students, families, parents and community members like you. I look forward to all of the amazing things ahead of us in 2022, including the Tall and Small Ball, Scholastic Book Fair, Read-A-Thon, and all of the incredible end of year activities.Until then, have a great holiday break, and I’ll see you on January 4, 2022!
