Welcome Back From Fall Break!

Greetings Parents and Community Members!
I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing Fall break. While your children were at home, on vacation, or just relaxing and rejuvenating, our faculty and staff have been at school, hard at work, planning and collaborating for what’s to come. While the majority of our staff opted to stay in school conducting parent/ teacher conferences, collaboratively planning or inputting grades, our Specialists participated in district planning days along with our Gifted team.

Our amazing French teachers even spent the entire day on Monday in an IB planning session with our coordinator Sam DeCarlo as we prepare for upcoming reauthorization. With the more condensed calendar, our staff have to be more intentional in how we use our very limited planning days and hopefully, it shows!

As the week picks up on a Wednesday, I wanted to take a minute to share two exciting upcoming events. First of all, I can’t wait to see everyone at our Fall Jamboree this Sunday from 1-5pm. It’s sure to be a fun filled day of Fall festivities (weather permitting). Be sure to look out for your favorite teacher and, of course, come say hi to me! You may even see me in the dunk tank again this year:). Secondly, I’m proud to announce the dates for our 2nd annual Family Feast Thanksgiving Meals for all grade levels. This year, we are proud to offer one full day at the MC (11/22) and three separate days at the PC (KK 11/8, 1st, 11/15, and 2nd 11/18). Please note that the schedule for these days will be adjusted to allow for a longer lunch time as we enjoy each others company in both of our cafeterias. Additional details will be sent out next week. And don’t forget, if you are interested in the future of facility planning within the North Cluster, be sure to join the planning session tonight, 10/16, 6pm at Sutton MS Northside campus.

I look forward to all of the special events that are coming up as the weather begins to cool down.  I hope you are able to join us when you can as I know a strong community ultimately makes a strong school.

Until next time!
