Vote for Brandon’s Go Team’s Candidates

This summer, Atlanta Public Schools will become a “charter system”. Becoming a charter system will allow our schools more freedom and flexibility to find new ways to boost student achievement.

The best part — parents, educators, and community members can now share in the decision-making process by joining the local school GOvernance or GO Team. The GO Team is comprised of:
* 3 parents (elected March 8-14 by parents/guardians)
* 3 instructional staff (elected by staff members)
* 2 community members (nominated by principal)
* 1 swing seat (selected by GO Team)
* The principal (non-voting member)

All parents are invited to vote for their candidates of choice via an on-line election.  In order to vote, you must have two important numbers:
* Your Voter-ID–this is your child’s student ID number, which can be found on their report card or via the infinite campus online system.
* Your PIN number–this number was sent home on a hard copy handout via your child’s backpack last week.

Beginning March 8, you may vote by visiting: www.atlantapublicschools.us/vote. Voting will take place 9:00 a.m. on March 8 to 11:59 p.m. on March 14. Please make sure you have your voter ID and PIN number available to participate.

Brandon has several talented candidates running for these 3 parent seats on the GO Team:

Back the BeeHive Campaign

We are excited about plans for a brand new playground at the Morris Brandon Primary Center in preparation for the 2nd grade expansion in 2016-17!  The former playground equipment has been moved to behind the building, where it will continue to be enjoyed, and a new playground will be built adjacent to the field. The entire Brandon community is coming together to make this vision a reality.  Check this out!   Proposed Primary Center Playground

Through the support of our Brandon parents, community and partners we hope to reach our fundraising goal of $40,000 by mid-April.   There are many levels of support.  Click HERE to learn more.
