POSTPONED: 2nd Annual Brandon’s Got Talent

With the best interest for the health and safety of our Morris Brandon Community in mind, we have decided to move the date of the 2nd Annual Brandon’s Got Talent show to MAY 15, 2020.  The event will still take place at North Atlanta High School at 6:00 p.m., all tickets will transfer to the new date.
 
Please be advised that tonight’s dress rehearsal is cancelled and will be rescheduled.  As soon as we have a new date for the ACT 2 dress rehearsal we will let you know. 
 
 

Because of the overwhelming success of last year’s event, we are moving it to the North Atlanta High School theater this year in order to accommodate a larger audience!  The talent show will take place on Thursday, March 19.

CONCESSIONS: Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event. Cash or Venmo only – no cards!

MERCH: Buy ASAP! Online store closes on March 4th at 11:59pm. These items will not be available for purchase at the event.

DRESS REHEARSAL INFO

All participants are required to attend their assigned dress rehearsal during the time frame indicated below. An alphabetical list of participants and act/group assignments can be found HERE.

                Act 1 Dress Rehearsal: Wednesday, March 11

                                GROUP A: 5:00-6:30 PM

                                GROUP B: 6:30-7:45 PM

                Act 2 Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, March 12

                                GROUP A: 5:00-6:30 PM

                                GROUP B: 6:30-7:45 PM 

Location: North Atlanta High School theater

  • PARKING: When you enter the campus, follow the parking lot and park in the covered deck.
  • ENTERING THE SCHOOL: There will be volunteers at the main entrance, adjacent to the parking deck, to guide you to the theater where a Talent Show Committee member will check your child in and take them to the holding area.
  • DURING THE REHEARSAL: Parents may watch from the audience but may not go backstage.  As soon as your child’s group has finished their rehearsal, they will be brought to the theater lobby to be returned to parents to depart.
  • WHAT TO BRING: Students should be in costume and ready to perform upon arrival. Please do NOT bring food or drinks to the dress rehearsal as there is no cleaning crew scheduled to work at that time. There are water fountains nearby if needed.

 

DAY OF SHOW

Participant Information

  • Participants should arrive at 5:00 p.m. Please park and enter the building as you did for the dress rehearsal.
  • Participants should arrive dressed/in costume/ready to perform.
  • Talent show staff will write the number of your child’s act in the order that they will perform on their hand in washable marker once they arrive. Doing this enables us to keep the show running smoothly and relieves the kids of needing to remember where they fall into the order of acts. We will have wipes backstage to clean the numbers off when they finish performing.
  • Please be sure that you child eats before they arrive as they won’t have access to concessions until their part is over.
  • The same protocol for checking in participants at the theater will be in place for the show and the dress rehearsal. After parents drop off their kids, they are free to wait in the lobby until the doors open at 5:30. Parents will not be allowed in the backstage area (exceptions on a case by case basis), nor will they be allowed to enter the theater early.
  • After your child’s performance is over, you are welcome to meet them where you dropped them off, and they can enjoy the rest of the show with you.
