Other Ways to Support Brandon

SUPPORTING BRANDON IN OTHER WAYS

Each year, in addition to official school fundraisers, there might be other ways that you are asked to help support Morris Brandon. This year we also wanted to include a list of items/activities where you will be asked to participate/donate but they are not fundraisers for the PTA or Foundation.

TEACHER GIFTS

Every year, room parents will ask families to contribute around $20-$40/student to be used towards teacher gifts throughout the year (birthday, holiday, end of year etc.). For the holidays, money is pooled and distributed among all the staff at Brandon to show appreciation for their work with our children. These contributions are completely voluntary, but encouraged

FIELD TRIP FEES

You will soon receive information on payment for field trips. Students will take several field trips throughout the year to enhance their learning experience. Total cost varies by grade – but can range from $75-$100.

STUDENT PICTURES

Twice a year you will have the opportunity to purchase professional pictures of your student. A portion of that payment goes back to Morris Brandon.

SPIRIT DAYS AT BUSINESS PARTNERS

The off-campus events help support our business partners and a portion of those sales dollars come back to the PTA (on designated dates only).

SCHOOL-WIDE FUNDRAISERS TO BENEFIT 5TH GRADE

Throughout the year there will be a variety of 5th grade fundraisers in which the entire school will be invited to participate. These help off-set additional 5th grade fees so that all 5th graders can participate in the special 5th grade activities. The fundraisers typically include:

5th Grade Car Wash
Spirit Days (i.e. wear your favorite team jersey) for $1 per day
Soup and Casserole Sale
Holiday Picture Sitting with a Photographer
