Happy New Year and welcome back to the 2nd semester of the 2015-2016 school year! With this letter, I’d like to recap some of our work from first semester and provide you with a look ahead at the rest of the year.
The month of January marks a time in the academic year when we use benchmark assessments to measure student learning progress to date. Students will take STAR Assessments in Reading and Math as well as the Computer Adaptive Assessment in Reading and Math this month. You will receive reports from you teachers, as you did in August, with your child’s progress. This data helps our teachers to tailor and adjust their instruction accordingly. Read more
